 CHAPTER FIVE (EXCERPT)

My grandmother told me about the time when Argus hit Aunt Pearl.  My grandmother said, “Pearl called me one day on the telephone crying, I asked her what was wrong.  She said, ‘He, he…’ and before she could get the words out I hung up the phone and went over there with Frank Junior.  Frank Junior knocked on the door and when Argus cracked that door open, Frank Junior beat the hell out him!  Pearl was in the background crying and pleading for Frank Junior to stop.  I cheered him on: ‘You better not stop, beat him!  Beat him!  Beat the hell out of him!’  Frank Junior beat him all throughout that apartment.  Frank Junior put one hell of a whopping on him.”
